Prices vary every day, depending on the fluctuation of the economy. Thus, we are constantly calculating and estimating the cost of our living expenses, even without knowing. It can be a hard duty, especially if you consider moving somewhere else. The problem comes when you don’t know how much you’re going to pay for something you use every day.
Luckily, there are new instruments provided by technology to help us do those estimations. Internet stores a lot of information from across the world, so some Zyla Labs developers designed an API to connect the data.
The Cost Of Living API is a modern tool that helps users discover how much money they need to cover their expenses. This API uses a calculator that determines the cost of living in more than 200 countries, cities, and territories. It also provides local prices for more than 15,000 products and services. It is super useful for organized people who want to plan their budget and make sure they have enough money for their daily needs.
How To Use This API?
The Cost of Living API is very easy to use. All you need to do is enter the city name and the amount of money you have. Then, the API will give you an estimate of how much that city’s cost of living is in relation to your own amount of money.
The API will also tell you how much it would cost to buy a certain item in the city you are looking for. It can return a list of products with their prices, and a cost of living index. That will help you compare your own cost of living with other cities.
When you get into the Zyla Labs Hub, you’ll find four different plans that you can choose from. The Non-cost plan (includes 100 requests pero month), the Basic plan (1,000 requests per month), the Pro plan (up to 10,000 requests a month – adequate for big firms), and the Pro Plus plan (even 20,000 requests). Anyway, if none of these plans work for you, you can create your own plan!
Another important feature from the API is that it uses local prices instead of converted USD. It’s perfect for an accurate financial analysis, because it provides data on monthly expenses and daily expenses. Therefore, you can evaluate data on local prices, with any currency, adding or subtracting tax rates. Furthermore, this data collection includes rent, groceries, fuel, hospital, tuition and other costs.
Other uses of the API:
– People who are planning a trip (this way, they can see which destiny is more affordable)
– Those who are moving to another city and want to know how much they will need to budget for their daily expenses.
– Curious people who want to compare different cities’ cost of living.
